ULAN BATOR, June 7 (Xinhua) -- Mongolia's foreign trade dipped 7.3 percent year-on-year to 9.9 billion U.S. dollars in the first five months of 2025, local media reported Saturday, citing data from the Mongolian Customs General Administration.
The landlocked Asian country registered a surplus in its foreign trade balance as exports exceeded imports by over 880 million dollars, the data showed.
Mining commodities, such as copper, iron ore and unprocessed or semi-processed gold, constituted 96.5 percent of Mongolia's total exports during this period, the administration reported.
Mongolia traded with 66 economies worldwide in the cited period. ■
