BOGOTA, June 8 (Xinhua) -- A magnitude 6.5 earthquake struck central Colombia on Sunday morning, and the tremor was felt in the capital here, local authorities said.
The earthquake with a depth of less than 30 km occurred at 8:08 a.m. local time (1308 GMT). The epicenter was located in Paratebueno, the central department of Cundinamarca, the Colombian Geological Service said.
There have been no reports of casualties or property damage yet as relevant departments are assessing the impact of the earthquake. ■
