HANOI, Sept. 8 (Xinhua) -- Vietnam's inbound foreign direct investment (FDI) reached 26.14 billion U.S. dollars in the first eight months of 2025, up 27.3 percent year-on-year, Vietnam News Agency reported Monday, citing the National Statistics Office.
Vietnam disbursed 15.4 billion U.S. dollars of FDI from January to August, recording the highest level in five years during the period, the report added.
Meanwhile, Vietnam's outbound FDI hit 556.2 million U.S. dollars, nearly 3.8 times higher than the same period last year, according to the report.
Vietnamese authorities granted new investment licenses to 108 overseas projects worth 426.5 million U.S. dollars, 2.9 times increase year-on-year, while 21 existing projects received an additional 129.7 million U.S. dollars in capital. ■
