MANILA, Sept. 10 (Xinhua) -- Net foreign direct investment (FDI) into the Philippines declined 17.8 percent to 376 million U.S. dollars in June, the central bank said Wednesday.
The decrease reflected a shift in nonresidents' net investments in equity capital from 85 million dollars inflows to 57 million dollars outflows.
Equity capital placements in June were sourced primarily from Japan, the United States and South Korea, and industries receiving the most were manufacturing, real estate, and wholesale and retail trade.
For the first half of 2025, FDI decreased 23.8 percent to 3.4 billion dollars. ■
