BEIJING, Sept. 7 (Xinhua) -- An earthquake with a magnitude of 5.4 jolted 80 km southwest of Nikolski, Alaska at 2040 GMT on Saturday, the U.S. Geological Survey said.

The epicenter, with a depth of 24 km, was initially determined to be at 52.35 degrees north latitude and 169.54 degrees west longitude. ■
